In the past years, the Civic engagement group had organized several of events. By those events we intended to inspire the youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina to take active role in the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s society.

The Civic engagement group worked on several issues. First of them was organizing consultations for the World Development Report (WDR) 2006. In several cities: Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar and Tuzla. Apart from collecting suggestions relevant to WDR, we informed the attendees of World Bank’s current activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ways to collaborate with the Country Office.

Our second set of activities was focused on the European integration process. In that sense, we celebrated the European Day (9th of May) by organized a street fair and a round table where students and other active youth of the country had the opportunity to have a discussion with the official of the European Commission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Franjo Marojevic.

Apart from that, the Civic Engagement group worked on promoting voting among youth by organizing street fairs. We plan to continue our activities by organizing more events and gatherings of active youth in our country.
